Why is it that light bulbs and lighting in general do not work in scary movies?



I've seen Amityville Horror 2005, twice now, second tonight. I like the movie, actually. And yes, there was a part in the boathouse ("...behind the boathouse....I'll show you my dark secret....I'll not be a gentleman..." ♪) scene, where the lightbulbs go out. They didn't make a huge deal of it, so they somewhat redeemed themselves. Ha...Besides, the real issue, lies with the demon in there with him, that he must deal with! Eep...yea, um, in his noggin'.



Gothika comes to mind as well. The lighting in that place was fucked. That alone would drive me insane. Watching dysfunctional electrical devices in movies, give me a tic too. But then, I dance on the edge of insanity, so maybe it's just me. *laughing*

Sometimes I listen to George Roory, on www.coasttocoastam.com. He has a host of topics discussed nightly. I don't catch it often, as it is on AM radio and I don't get the stations in clearly. Occasionally I do though. This was on one of the shows a few days ago, highlighted. My dad listens to it all the time. Hard to imagine him listening to it, since he is a religious man, and not really into alot of it.....but then, he listens to it, and subscribes to astrology, numerology, UFOS....who knows with him! Ha...Anyway, you should really check out the www.coasttocoastam.com site. It has tons of really cool factual stuff, that people send pics and info in on!!

Ok, I'm wondering why women want to shave their land down unda. Sure, I can understand, if the jungle is overgrown and untamed, wild and difficult to navigate through. But, why "just because"?



What I find even more disturbing, is why guys want to have sex with chicks that do that. It would be like having sex with Shirley Temple. Oo, there is another reciept name to use....



I'm obviously no guy. But if I were, I would want to have sex with a woman, and all her womanly features....intact. Who wants a bald baby? Hey, to each his own! *smirk*

I have gotten several responses to this. You guys are funny. Yea, it's been men. Some agree with me, and some don't necessarily disagree, but they wanted me to take into consideration hygiene issues. HA...Since I personal don't have hygiene issues, I don't think about that aspect, I suppose. Or didn't at that time. I personally like guys with hair in the amusement park. But I'm a hair kind of girl.



One thing that I did think about though. It is our filling out, in certain areas, that is representitive of coming into adulthood...pubic hair being one of those markers. I wonder, psychologically, what it means to remove all trace of it? *smile*

I often put lyrics in my journal. These are from songs that resonate how I feel much of the time about particular people. The past is gone, yes. I suppose posting the lyrics could be cathartic? Some songs, we just relate to...that are just part of our history....our selves. Most don't know how to ease my pain, anyway. So this, I figure, will be an anthem, for my whole life. Besides, some are just insensitive, selfish, asses, and so, this is for them.



You know the ones....they don't say hi, they leave you alone when someone else comes along that they fancy at the moment. See, you were the flavor at the moment, Strawberry ice cream, for example, but in their rash recklessness, they now fancy Neopolitan....with all of it in the mix! They expect you to be there waiting on their roaming asses. And really, that's ok...nobody belongs to anybody anyway...but a person could stop in and say, "Hello, I've missed you! How are you? I've thought about you.". Even if it's a lie, it would be nice to hear. Alittle acting would sweeten the pot too, by the way. "Please, make me believe you missed me, or gave a shit!". Ha...



You know the ones...the ones that come online occasionally, after telling you how utterly fantastic you are, and then *POOF*, disappearing for long periods of time...suddenly reappearing, and then you are supposed to be ecstatic and gush to see them and to recieve the wee morsel of kindness they decided to launch at you....hurl to you, for a few chosen moments. Speaking of hurl....ugh...makes you want to, eh? These are most likely moments, they choose, while waiting on their new fantastic friend to come online (doing the same thing to them, probably! Ha.), or perhaps just needing a, "you are so great!", fix. Pfft...



No, it seems, that is way too much for them to think about.....until their life takes a turn south...and they come back, yelping like a wounded dog, beseeching open arms.



These neglectfuls, apparently don't have a proper goodbye handy. What does it say about us, that we still welcome them with open arms and love in our spacious hearts? I tend to think it's because we are gracious and kind creatures. That, or desperate......*wink*
